Although still standing at the beginning of a promising career in music business Yves Murasca can already look back on a long list of references as a dj. He is being booked regularily as a headliner-dj in countries such as Brazil, Russia, Spain, Italy, Slovenia, Poland, Austria and Ukraine. He played in german top-clubs like King Kamehameha in Frankfurt, China Lounge in Hamburg or 8 Seasons in Munich. His convincing sets and his pleasant and uncomplicated character help him to continuously tighten his international fan-base and to enforce his standing within club culture.
Moreover Murasca became a recognized, successful and internationally respected producer during the last years: besides his remix work for luminaries such as Bob Sinclar, Barbara Tucker, Jean Claude Ades, Milk & Sugar or Chris Lake, four extraordinary successful singles have hit the market since 2007.
Already the second one, "All About Housemusic", brought the final breakthrough: reviews in UK’s most renowned magazine DJ Mag, Canada's Nocturnal Mag and German Raveline, Interviews in various german magazines, top positions in all relevant sales charts and even in the german dance charts DDC (#11) - the track stayed in DDC for incredible nine weeks! The vinyls of Edition One were sold out even before release date! By having been licensed to far more than 40 CD-Compilations worldwide including the top-sellers Hed Kandi or Ministry of Sound Yves’ “All About Housemusic” became Milk & Sugar Recordings’ most successful release of the whole year 2008 and made Yves become the label’s most successful inhouse-artist besides Milk&Sugar themselves. All of his releases immediately rocketed to top positions in the Beatport sales charts shortly after their release. This definitely shows: Yves Murasca is far more than a one-hit-wonder!
Meanwhile he also mixed various convincing CD Compilations. Probably the most recognized ones were 2009’s top sellers “Ibiza Opening Party 2009” on More Music, We Play Recordings’ mother company and “Chapter VIII” of the renowned german CD-series “Housemusic.de”; here Yves affiliates in a row with its famous previous mixers D.O.N.S., Eddie Thoneick, Syke ‘n’ Sugarstarr, Jean Claude Ades, Milk & Sugar and Raul Rincon!
Next to all his creative work he has established himself as a successful business man within music industry: the fact that he is label- and licensing manager at Milk & Sugar Recordings since 2006 and co-owner and managing director of Diamondhouse Records since 2005 makes us believe Yves never stops working. And guess what? That’s not too wrong! His whole life revolves around music, he gives a hundred percent of pure commitment.
Due to his numerous stays on the balearic island Ibiza Yves Murasca‘s music style clearly contains strong influences of the atmospheric Ibiza house sound. He himself described his style in one of his last interviews as follows: „i love deep-/soulful housemusic but when i play prime time i prefer it more intense. It also can be influenced a little bit by electro but in general I play pumpin vocal house or percussion flavoured tunes spiced with special selfmade edits and Acapellas.”
